Did you know that March is Women’s History Month? And that March 8th is recognized globally as International Women's Day?

I’ll be honest — for years, I barely paid attention.

But the more I’ve reflected, the more I’ve realized how deeply important it is to intentionally celebrate women — not just historically, but personally. Not just the icons and trailblazers, but the everyday women quietly carrying families, businesses, friendships, and responsibilities with strength and grace.

Last August, I launched a personal artist project called 40 Over 40.

My goal was simple: photograph 40 women over the age of 40 and show them that they are still beautiful, still powerful, and they’ve still got it.

And yes — this project was personal.

I’m over 40… well over 40… actually well over 50. I understand how self-doubt creeps in. How the mirror feels less kind. How the body changes. How new aches appear overnight. How easy it is to become invisible — even to yourself.

I expected to create beautiful portraits. I expected to meet brave women willing to step outside their comfort zones.

What I didn’t expect was what it would do for them.

Women walked into the studio nervous. Unsure. A little apologetic about their bodies, their age, their “flaws.”

They walked out standing taller.

They hugged me before they ever saw a single image — because the experience itself had already shifted something inside them.

That was the moment I knew this couldn’t just be a one-time project.

It needed to become something more.

And so, EmpowerHer — Women’s Beauty Portraits was born.

This experience is intentionally designed to celebrate you — exactly as you are in this season of life.

It begins with a personalized planning consultation where we dream together. We’ll talk about your goals, your style, wardrobe, backgrounds, and the overall vibe you want to create.

On the day of your session, you’ll begin with professional hair and makeup. Then you’ll step into the studio for 1–2 hours of guided portrait creation, with up to five outfit changes. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to know what to do with your hands. That’s my job.

A week later, you’ll return to view your portraits and select from our collection of luxurious offerings — from statement wall art to heirloom albums and curated digital collections.

Because this isn’t about vanity.

It’s about visibility.

It’s about confidence.

It’s about honoring the woman you are right now — not 20 years ago and not someday in the future.
